27 August 2018: SIS Palembang


We go to our host school Singapore Indonesia School (SIS) it's an international school. First get the visitor card and go to the meeting room to orientation and introduce the school and then explore the school. There are the primary school, secondary school, and high school. In the afternoon staff of teacher explain about our mentor and the subject we will observe and teach.

Today I have 1 class for teaching practice that is ICT in the topic formatting text in MS paint. I was evaluated by the adviser from UNSRI in this class also. I so excited to show them the teaching that I think I can do it but I'm wrong because of reality it's not expectations. The classroom quite full of noise and the question that I can't make them to follow my drawing. I think this class it quite not succeeds, but I know how to improve when I have the next ICT class to teaching better.

6 September 2018: Teacher assistant IV

Today beginning by math class in the topic word problem about addition and subtraction that operation 2 step. They analyze the problem by bar model. The students will fill the number in the gab to guild them to find the answer. The most students have the question about filling the number and calculation, So I explained the problem and suggest they check the answer again before submitting. If they have the wrong answer I tell them to calculate digit by digit until getting the correct answer. Next class is science that they have the mini test. I help the teacher invigilate and take care of the students who finished to stay in their place and don't make a noise. Finally, the last subject class is art&craft that the teacher taught about watercolor. Teacher passes out the picture to student paint by themselves before independent work the teacher will show them the example.
